Our history and skin expertise have evolved and progressed since 1736 when a thermal spring with its special qualities was discovered in Avène, a small village in the South of France.  With the Avène water thermal spring as a key ingredient, Avène Dermatological Laboratories has been at the forefront of product development worldwide and its Hydrotherapy Centre is committed to the treatment of dermatological problems such as eczema, psoriasis and sensitive skin.

Whatever your skin type, sensitive skin can become an issue at any time.  Eau Thermale Avène is the first skin care brand to apply classification levels for sensitive skin.  The 3 sensitivity levels (the first degree being the least sensitive, the third being the most) are:

	First degree	Sensitive
	Second degree	Intolerant
	Third degree	Allergic
